Not convinced with the current shell of Windows 8? Can’t find the Start Menu All Programs section of Metro UI?
The current user interface (UI) of Windows 8 was created to cope up with the current trends of Touch devices. It was designed for your fingers sliding and touching the screen.
Anyway, here’s how to add a start menu Programs alternative as shown below:
What–to-do
Right-Click any portion of the Taskbar and go to the Toolbar section and click “New toolbar…”
Next, you’ll need to write the folder path of the toolbar as shown:
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu
Just make sure that you overwrite the path above using your own username like the example below: hp as the username
