Vtotal = I(R1+R2)

Since I1 = I2 = Itotal
and by ohms law:
Itotal = I2
Vin/(R1 +R2) = Vout/R2
since Vout is needed...

Lets start with V = IR formula, Lets discover derivation of formula.
Current flow reading means you need to start reading from positive to negative while Electron Flow follows the transfer of valence electrons from atom to another so, negative to positive reading is being used. An absence of electrons means -1 net charge or negative ion and vice-versa for positive ion.

Derivation of Ohms Law or V= IR
Here we'll be using Kirchoff's Voltage Law or KVL using Current Flow
1. Draw the circuit and put + and - signs for voltages and resistances.
2. Read the summation of Voltages and equate to Zero using Current Flow:
+V - Vr = 0, since Vr = I x R
+V - IR = 0
Therefore, V = IR...
